Hi I'm Azhar Khan
LANDED FOR SUCCESS VIP Member
I was born into a very loving and close-knit family. I learned the value of hard work and professionalism from my father who travelled a lot for business. Due to his extensive travel, I became extremely close to my mother who taught me the meaning of charity and giving to the community. My mother always cooked and distributed food to the needy and that act of kindness has inspired me throughout my journey. My mantra is to love everyone regardless of faith or origin and I strongly believe in humanity first.
I speak 5 languages and have achieved my Bachelors in Business and Computer Science as well as a Masters in Economics. While working at Toyota in Saudi Arabia, I travelled to many countries including all GCC Counties, Egypt, UK, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand & Japan where I have learned many methodologies like Toyota Production System, Toyota Way, 5S, JIT and Kaizen. My experience in Japan was life altering. I learned the art of Kaizen which is a process of improvement methodology that promotes efficiencies within organizations for continuous improvement.
After returning to Toyota's head office in Saudi Arabia, I joined Toastmasters, and the rest as they say is history. Toastmasters changed my whole being and gave me direction through which I learned leadership skills that has set me on the path to where I am today. I set up a Toastmasters group at Toyota ALJ and applied my Kaizen learnings from TMC, and I made great strides in improving operational processes. I was soon nicknamed "Kaizen Khan."
I earned a Gold Medal in the After sales Operations Project "Virtual Warehouse" at a Kaizen Marathon organized by Toyota Motor Corporation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for Continuous improvement. I have written a book on warehouse operations, operational effectiveness, built digital dashboards, created technical manuals and edited magazines. Currently I am a Double Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and working on my Triple DTM. My greatest pride is in having over a thousand youth graduate from my Youth Leadership Program, Toastmasters and Kaizen workshops.
In Canada I have worked in many global organizations such as Toyota Canada, FCA, Amazon and Bombardier, always applying my Toastmasters and Kaizen philosophies. I am so proud to established my consultancy firm "The6ixHackers". We help organizations across the private, public and social sectors create Kaizen - Continuous Improvement or a Change for Good Culture that matters most to them.
Currently I am working as a Founder and CEO of The6ixHackers. I am Youth Leadership Program Chair, Member of the Ajax Homeless Committee, Member of the Newcomers Advisory Board, Durham Region, Vice President Membership and Distinguished Toastmaster of Toastmasters International. We served more then 3500 meals during COVID-19 by the help of Muslim Welfare Canada to the community since January 2020 and still serving to St. Maria Goretti Church, Kendalwood Seventh-day Adventist Church and Durham Region Homeless. I continue to serve our youth in the GTA Ontario and firmly believe that I gain strength from helping the weak and vulnerable in our society.
The BIG IDEA - We believe in the Kaizen approach of Continuous Improvement. Together, we help you create a culture of continuous improvement in which all employees are actively engaged in improving events focused on enhancing the company's initiatives through continuous innovation.
My family is always at the center of everything I do and I am driven to create a legacy for them that they will be proud of and that will be remembered forever.
